The vaunted net and floor defense of F2 Logistics had no answer for the pair of Lindsay Stalzer and Hillary Hurley on Tuesday, as the imports powered Petron to a surprising three-set victory over the Cargo Movers in Game 1 of the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix finals.

Stalzer and Hurley each scored 20 points in a variety of ways, with the former firing 15 attacks on top of three blocks and two aces. Hurley scored 16 of her points via kills. Together, the two imports anchored Petron's blistering offense in what turned out to be a comfortable 25-14, 25-21, 25-16 triumph.

That the Blaze Spikers won in straight sets came Doug Flutie Authentic Jersey as a surprise for most observers, who had expected a slugfest between the Womens Tom Rathman Jersey two powerhouse squads. Indeed, Petron entered the best-of-three finals as the slight underdog, having dropped its elimination round game to F2 Logistics in four sets.
Stalzer, a veteran import who is in her fourth stint Ryan Hewitt Jersey in the PSL, was not so shocked at the result."The amount of dedication that we've shown in the past couple of weeks, I'm just over the moon because we put in so much time and effort and mental energy," said Stalzer.
Given how much they had prepared for the finals against the Cargo Movers, Stalzer was gratified rather than surprised at how well they played."I couldn't be happier with the result tonight," said the 33-year-old import. "It was a team effort, and everybody was at the top of their game."
"This was the best we've played, I think," she added. "So this is the perfect time to peak. I'm just really happy."Stalzer fully expects F2 Logistics to bounce back: the Cargo Movers were shockingly listless in Game 1, but their coach, Ramil de Jesus, is known for his ability to make smart adjustments. Robert Bortuzzo Jersey Moreover, they boast of a powerful pair of imports as well, in Maria Jose Perez and Kennedy Bryan.
"I don't think it's going to be quite as easy in Game 2," Stalzer acknowledged. "They're definitely going to go and think of everything they can do to stop us, so we'll try and anticipate and just prepare as well."
She is bracing for a bounce-back game from Perez, who had 15 points – all on attacks – in Game 1. Stalzer is very familiar with the Venezuelan player, as they were teammates while playing in Indonesia.
"I have a lot of respect for Maria. She's a great player and a good friend," said Stalzer. "But you know, she's across the net, so I'm going to take it to her and give the best I got."Though she anticipates a fightback from the Cargo Movers and from Perez in particular, Stalzer remains reasonably confident that Petron can wrap up the series in Game 2 on Thursday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
"We can always improve," she said, hinting that Petron can play even better than they did last Tuesday, when they committed only nine unforced errors as a team – a remarkable number."I'm very confident going into the next game," added Stalzer, who can become a three-time PSL Grand Prix champion should the Blaze Spikers triumph on Thursday. The American import was part of Foton when the Tornadoes won the past two Grand Prix. cb|GeSHi-mod / Three young GAA stars get big chance in AFL
« on: Today at 03:54:51 AM »
Three young Gaelic footballers have been handed the chance to advance their cause as AFL prospects with an invitation to a testing academy in Florida next month.Dublin's James Madden, Cork's Mark Keane and Derry's Anton Tohill, son of former Oak Leaf great Anthony, have made the cut following AFL Europe's latest Dublin-based combine in UCD last week.

There were 21 players invited, including rising Galway hurling star Jack Canning, with Madden catching the eye with a record-breaking effort in the 20-metre sprint.

Madden, a member of this year's Dublin minor team, comes from the same club, Ballyboden St Enda's, as Jim Stynes, the most successful Irish recruit to the AFL over the last quarter of a Antoine Vermette Jersey century.Tohil and Keane, who featured with Earl Campbell Youth jersey the Cork U-17 and minor teams in 2017, also impressed at the recent combine.
An invitation to the Florida academy was the route that Galway's Cillian McDaid, Kilkenny's Darragh Joyce and Westmeath's Ray Connellan took to securing contracts in recent years.
AFL national and international talent manager Kevin Sheehan was present for the UCD combine last week to oversee it in the absence of Tadhg Kennelly, who has left his international talent co-ordinator role to rejoin Sydney Swans in a coaching capacity.
Former AFL players Martin Clarke and Colm Begley were also involved in the organisation of the two-day camp that featured five players from Kerry.
Sheehan said he understood some of the fear expressed in Ireland about losing top players, a fear that heightened this year in Kerry, especially over David Clifford. But he feels there will never be a deluge making the switch.
"It's not surprising the level of player playing Gaelic football, it's elite. You even see it at International Rules level, they can match the best in Australia as they did last month. They're pretty elite.
"But there'll only ever be an odd one. It's Womens Terence Garvin Jersey never a flood that comes our way. There's been an average of one-and-a-half to two, and one comes back so it fits in that space, it's not a case of pillaging the boys that are talented.
"David Clifford, for instance, doesn't appear to want it and that's fine," continued Sheehan."We've seen that over many years. From where we come, we appreciate the legacy of Jim Stynes to come out when he made that decision 30 years ago and become a legend of our game and contribute massively to our community.,101338

cb|GeSHi-mod / Players confronted by angry fans after loss
« on: Today at 02:14:14 AM »
Hughes wants his players to use the supporters' fury as motivation as they seek to address their slump in form.Stoke are three points above relegation and travel to seventh-placed Burnley on Tuesday (19:45 GMT).

Hughes said: "That is still resonating. Sometimes you need a reality check."The confrontation took place as they arrived back at Stoke-on-Trent station on Saturday night.Stoke's players regularly travel back from away games alongside supporters, but the number of fans on their train on Saturday was greater due to Justin Blackmon Youth jersey delays out of London.

Fans were then locked inside carriages and made to wait while Hughes' team were allowed off the train first. Some fans who had been on the same train to Stoke as the players chanted "you're not fit to wear the shirt" at Hughes' players."It's good we have a game on Tuesday because it is still fresh in the mind, fresh in their ears probably," he said.
"Use it as a motivating factor. Don't allow people to have an opportunity to question you. You do that by playing well, getting results."There could be individuals in our group who haven't experienced it before, but they have now. So they can use it.
"You either suck it up Al MacInnis Jersey and do something about it or you go under, and we can't accept players like that."Sometimes you need to understand how our results and performances affect people."Stoke have have now conceded 17 goals in their last four games against Spurs, losing 4-0 in their three previous fixtures against Mauricio Pochettino's side before Saturday's latest defeat.
"Each and every one of us understood that before the weekend," added Hughes. "So let's use it as a motivating factor, don't let it make you insular or go into your shell."Some Stoke supporters have also questioned Hughes' future after only four wins from their 16 games so far this season.
"There's been an undercurrent since I've been here," Hughes said of the flak aimed in his direction. On the day I was appointed there was a car outside the stadium with 'Hughes out' written on it - that was before I even got here!
"But I understand it, some people Cliff Avril Authentic Jersey won't like you or your teams, your picks, your substitutions; some don't like your hair or the way you speak.
'You can't take exception to it. I'm the public face of the team so I have to take the brunt of it, I accept that to a certain extent."

General SMF discussion / F2 Logistics eye early lead in PSL Finals series
« on: December 14, 2017, 09:24:23 AM »
Two powerhouse squads will battle for supremacy when Petron and F2 Logistics kick off their best-of-3 finals series in the Chooks-to-Go Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.Game 1 is set at 7 p.m., following the bronze medal match between Cocolife and Foton scheduled for 4:15 p.m.

The Blaze Spikers and the Cargo Movers rolled through the elimination round, finishing with identical 7-1 slates before crushing their respective foes in the quarterfinals. They then emerged victorious in the semis to book a finals duel for the second time this year.
Petron had to go through the wringer before hacking out a 30-28, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21 to dethrone defending champion Foton in the semis, while F2 Logistics barreled past Cocolife, 25-17, 25-16, 25-17, in their own Final 4 match-up.
This marks the fourth straight year that Petron has advanced to the finals of the Grand Prix, while F2 Logistics is making its first appearance in the championship round of the season-ending conference since joining the league last year.
Petron coach Shaq delos Santos stressed that the Blaze Spikers are hungry to regain the crown that they last won in 2014, when they were bannered by American import Alaina Bergsma and Brazilian playmaker Erica Adachi.
"We know that for the past two years, we were always being beaten by Foton for the title," said Delos Santos. "That's why winning the title this time means a lot to us.""We are very hungry, and we will do everything to win it," he vowed. "It's no longer a question of roster, imports, or any other factors; it's now a question of heart and desire."
Petron is also searching for payback of sorts, as their lone loss of the elimination round came against F2 Logistics. The Cargo Movers trounced the Blaze Spikers earlier in the conference, 21-25, 25-20, 23-25, 19-25.
"That Authentic Cory Joseph Jersey loss served as an eye-opener," said Delos Santos, who acknowledged that they had no answer for the power of F2 Logistics imports Maria Jose Perez and Kennedy Bryan in their first encounter."F2 was just in its first match, and we had no idea how strong they were," he added. "At least it helped us realize that we're still a work in progress, and we still have to learn as the tournament progresses."
The Cargo Movers are similarly hungry for success in the best-of-3 series, as a victory over Petron in the championship round will give head coach Ramil de Jesus a trophy that is missing from his collection.
De Jesus has won 10 UAAP titles with De La Salle University, as well as the PSL All-Filipino Conference. However, he has yet to win in the PSL Grand Prix."We want to experience how it feels to win the Grand Prix," Fred Biletnikoff Womens Jersey said De Jesus, who will bank on Kim Fajardo, Majoy Baron, Aby Marano and Dawn Macandili against the rock-solid core of Mika Reyes, Rhea Dimaculangan, Ces Molina, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas and imports Hillary Hurley and Lindsay Stalzer. cb|Emailogin / Week 14 fantasy football winners and losers
« on: December 14, 2017, 05:01:38 AM »
As we do each week, we recap the week's winners and losers from a fantasy perspective, complete with applicable game and historical data. Check back after the conclusion of the 1 and 4 p.m. ET (and, when applicable, Sunday Night Football) games for our picks of the week's best and worst.

Who cares who is throwing him the football? Hopkins continues to carry his fantasy teams with huge scores, like his 35.9 PPR points that was tops among all players during the 1 p.m. ET games. It was the fourth time in his career that he Authentic Luol Deng Jersey had scored at least 35,and in each of the four he had a different quarterback throwing to him: Ryan Fitzpatrick for his career-best 44.8 in 2014 Week 13, Brian Hoyer for his 36.8 in 2015 Week 6, Deshaun Watson for his 36.4 in 2017 Week 8 and Tom Savage relieved by T.J. Yates on Sunday.
Hopkins found his way onto a high percentage of ESPN playoff teams (49.5 percent, seventh-highest among wide receivers, and he was the second most-started wide receiver of Week 14 (98.8 percent of leagues). He has given his teams an excellent chance at advancing in the playoffs.
The Cowboys' fill-in running backs during Ezekiel Elliott's suspension have performed decently -- Alfred Morris and Smith have combined for 113.0 PPR fantasy points on 134 touches in five games -- but Smith's performance on Sunday was either player's best yet. The third-year player scored 33.0 PPR fantasy points, tops among running backs during the 1 p.m. ET games, obliterating his previous career high and in fact nearly doubling his season total entering the week (40.7).
Smith made one big play count, scoring 15.1 of his 33.0 on an 81-yard touchdown on a short pass with just over four minutes to play, and he capped Frank Zombo Jersey his day with a 15-yard rushing touchdown a little more than a minute later. That strong finish could -- and should -- make him a popular addition in the 73.0 percent of ESPN leagues in which he remains available, as he and the Cowboys face the Oakland Ziggy Ansah Jersey Raiders in Week 15.
Williams' 30.8 points on Sunday represented the most that he has scored in any of his 13 career games to date, as well as the second straight week he has had a big game while fellow rookie Aaron Jones has played a minimal role.
Jones played two snaps to Williams' 46 and had 8.0 PPR fantasy points on only one rushing attempt in Week 13, and Jones played seven snaps to Williams' 52 and had minus-0.2 PPR fantasy points on four rushing attempts on Sunday, per Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke.
Williams' start percentage dropped from 69.6 percent in Week 13 to 45.2 percent on Sunday, but after a game like this, doesn't it make a lot more sense for the Packers to simply stick with him as the starter next week?

cb|GeSHi-mod / Leo Cullen on the key areas Leinster can improve
« on: December 14, 2017, 02:15:55 AM »
Leinster handed Exeter Chiefs their first home defeat of the season to take control of Pool 3 in The Champions Cup at Sandy Park.Leinster dominated the first quarter, having a stunning try from Luke McGrath disallowed for Johnny Sexton’s foot in touch.

Then, referee Romain Poite insisted Devin Toner had not grounded the ball when his Television Match Official Eric Gonthier believed a try had been scored.A series of scrum penalties meant a yellow card for Exeter prop Harry Williams and Sexton exploited the extra man to perfection for the lead try in the 21st minute.

Immediately, Gareth Steenson shot three points from Exeter’s first attack for Cian Healy not releasing the tackler. This was neutralised by Sexton’s simple three for Nic White’s no-arms tackle on Healy to grab an 8-3 lead.
This lasted to the break on the back of a monster defensive series from the Irish as they repelled Exeter’s vaunted maul and pick-and-go.The same again was required after Sean Cronin was binned for a high tackle on Jack Nowell.
They survived the ten minutes before right wing Garret Sparks Youth jersey James Short pierced Leinster for the equalizing try in the 55th minute. The Irish responded impressively for Nacewa to strike a lead penalty in the 62nd minute.
The issue was put beyond doubt when Jack Conan powered over for Isa Nacewa to convert in the 72nd minute.“It was a closely fought-out game, a proper cup rugby match," reflected Leinster Kevin White Youth jersey coach Leo Cullen.
“There’s plenty of things in the game that we can get better at as well, a little bit of composure."But it’s not an easy place to come and get Authentic Eric Decker Jersey a win. So we’re delighted to get that.”
Meanwhile, Leinster's Tadhg Furlong gave his verdict on a hard fought win to RTE."We retained the ball pretty well and it was a lot of phases we went through," he stated."Probably the forwards slowed down a bit and Authentic Luke Stocker Jersey were sucking a bit of diesel towards the end, I certainly was anyway.
"To go through that many phases and hold onto the ball for that long is pleasing and in the game of rugby pretty unusual."They're a really tough team to stop. We probably let them in and didn't hold width and they got us on the edge on one occasion."It was a big effort from everyone involved and some of the energy needed to get off the ground and make tackles was pleasing." cb|GeSHi-mod / NFL match goes ahead during blizzard
« on: December 13, 2017, 11:36:21 AM »
Their match - at New Era Field in New York - took place in a blizzard, which caused players to skid and slide throughout. On the eve of the match, the Bills had asked fans to come to the stadium to help shovel snow, but the weather worsened during Sunday's game.

The Bills supporters who did brave the conditions went home happy - their team won 13-7 in Joel Edmundson Youth jersey overtime.Lovren and captain Jordan Henderson angrily remonstrated with the referee at the final whistle after he awarded the visitors their first penalty at Anfield since 1988.

Liverpool clearly felt it was a soft decision, yet the hosts must also look at themselves for their inability to secure victory after failing to turn their long spells of possession into more than one goal.
They remain unbeaten in 10 games in all competitions but this will feel like a defeat for Klopp, whose team selection will also come under scrutiny. The German opted to start Philippe Coutinho, who scored a Champions League hat-trick in midweek against Spartak Moscow, and fellow Brazilian Roberto Firmino on the bench.
Instead Klopp handed 20-year-old striker Dominic Solanke his second league start for the club, while there was an all-English midfield of Henderson, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain."I make decisions that I think are right," added Klopp. "We lived more or less in their box. We could have scored earlier. I have to live with that."
Klopp made six changes in total yet Liverpool's play was still fluent, even if they were frustrated by the visitors before a brilliant piece of individual skill by Authentic Jae Crowder Jersey Salah put them ahead. The Egypt forward took his tally for the club since signing in the summer to 19 goals with an exquisite finish after beating Cuco Martina and holding off Idrissa Gueye.
However, Mane's selfish decision not to pass to a team-mate cost Liverpool the cushion of a second goal before the interval. He ran clear of the Everton defence but instead of squaring to Solanke, Oxlade-Chamberlain or Salah he went for goal and dragged his shot wide of the right-hand post.
Liverpool's failure to add another goal ultimately cost them a fourth successive win, as Everton secured a point from a game they never had control of.As Klopp sought to engineer a late winner for his side he sent on Danny Ings for the injury-plagued striker's first Premier League appearance since May 2016.
Everton remain without a win at Anfield since 1999 yet this was a result to enjoy for the blue half of Merseyside. The Toffees managed just two shots on target and spent most of the first half camped inside their Authentic Philip Rivers Jersey own half as Liverpool dominated possession and territory.
In fact, Everton had 21% of the possession, their lowest figure ever in a Premier League match since 2003-04 (when Opta started recording the share).Liverpool midfielder Henderson completed 60 passes - six more than Everton's players put together - in the opening 45 Patrick Roy Jersey minutes alone.
Yet Allardyce's side dug deep to stay in the game, and when the chance arose to beat keeper Simon Mignolet, the goal was meaningful.Rooney's first goal in six appearances in this fixture extends his side's unbeaten run to four games in all competitions.

cb|GeSHi-mod / Australia edge Argentina 2-1 to clinch win gold medal
« on: December 13, 2017, 10:24:44 AM »
Drag-flicker Blake Govers struck two minutes from time as defending champions Australia edged past Argentina 2-1 to win the title in Womens Rodney Gunter Jersey the Hockey World League (HWL) Final at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

Govers struck to the left of Argentine goalkeeper Juan Vivaldi in the 58th minute after Australia saw Milan Lucic Jersey Jeremy Hayward's penalty corner conversion in the 17th minute being equalised within a minute by Agustin Bugallo.

It was a fitting final given that the contest was between Olympic champions Argentina and the world champions. The match lived up to the expectations, with both teams showing their attacking game.
While Australia kept their game of all-round attack, Argentina did their best to maintain their game of holding the ball in their half and wait for a counter-attack.Even though Australia pressed hard, Argentina kept moving the ball quickly.
Australia drew the first blood, with Hayward flicking between Vivaldi's left leg and left-bar defender Ignacio Ortiz. However, the South Americans pulled level within a minute as Bugallo deflected home at the right Andre Holmes Jersey near post a right cross from Juan Gilardi.
Afterward, both teams were locked in a tight battle. Argentina matched Australia's physical game head-on.
Eddie Ockenden came closest to give Australia the lead a few seconds prior to the close of the third quarter. Central defender Mark Knowles' long-range ball was met by Blake Govers just outside the circle and he fed the veteran attacking midfielder on the left but the latter was denied by the cross-bar.
Juan Lopez responded for Argentina following a superb counter-attack but with only goalkeeper Tyler Lovell to beat, the attacker drove wide of the left post.Just when it seemed the match will go to the penalty shootout, Australia earned a penalty corner from which Govers made no mistake to make it 2-1.
In the dying seconds, Diego Paz failed to connect a flick from the left as Australia survived some anxious moments to earn the 2-1 win and retain the title they had won in Raipur two years ago."We controlled the game well and got some clear-cut chances but didn't make the most of them," Man-of-the-Match Gilardi of Argentina said after the match. cb|GeSHi-mod / Donaire questions Rigondeaux after loss to Lomachenko
« on: December 13, 2017, 06:50:39 AM »
Former world champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire could not help but be disappointed after seeing Cuban standout Guillermo Rigondeaux quit on his stool midway through a championship fight on Saturday in New York (Sunday in Manila).

Rigondeaux moved up two weight classes to challenge Vasyl Lomachenko for the WBO junior lightweight championship. However, the Cuban found himself outclassed by the Ukrainian star, and Rigondeaux proceeded to quit on his stool after the sixth round.

His decision to give up did not sit well with Donaire, who said on social media that he did not understand why Rigondeaux opted to quit.
"Incredible performance from Loma," Donaire said of the Ukrainian, who has now improved to 10-1 in his professional career. "Rigo Authentic Matt Wieters Jersey has never been in this position where he has been dominated every way."
Donaire would know: he tried and failed to beat Rigondeaux back in April 2013, only to be outboxed and outpointed by the Cuban star.Against Lomachenko, however, Rigondeaux's vaunted boxing skills were negated. "Loma" peppered Rigondeaux with jabs and he was well ahead in the scorecards Womens Stephen Strasburg Jersey when the Cuban proceeded to quit. Rigondeaux later claimed that he injured his hand in the second round, severely hampering his chances.
Even so, Donaire struggled to figure out Rigondeaux's mindset."I still can't understand how a fighter quits," Donaire said. "I fought with bloody hands, I fought with numerous fractures, and sometimes, my brain tells me to stop and tells me that I have done enough."
"But never in my life have I ever quit," he added. "You could knock me down, and I'll at least attempt to get up.""But I won't quit, ever. It is what it is."Donaire made it clear that it was not as if he wanted Rigondeaux to lose. Indeed, he wanted the Cuban to win, as much as he wished for Jamaican star Nicholas Walters to beat Lomachenko Womens T.J. Warren Jersey as well when they fought back in November 2016.
However, Walters also lost to Lomachenko, and in similar fashion: he quit on his stool at the end of the seventh round. "I wanted Walters and Rigo to win, because in doing so, it gives me the credibility of being beaten by the top pound for pound Los Angeles Lakers Jersey (boxers)," said Donaire, who lost to Walters in October 2014 via knockout.
"Staying on the stool with half the fight left, on the other hand, negates the macho image purported by going two weight divisions up," he said.Donaire is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ruben Garcia Hernandez back in September.,103853,101455

cb|GeSHi-mod / FC Pune City crack Jamshedpur FC's defence for 1-0 victory
« on: December 13, 2017, 03:34:42 AM »
FC Pune City joined the toppers in the Indian Super League after claiming a well deserved 1-0 victory over Jamshedpur FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Sunday.

FC Pune City defender Adil Khan's goal at the half hour mark proved to be the difference between the two sides as Pune registered their third win in five matches to accumulate nine points, the same as leaders Bengaluru FC, FC Goa and Chennaiyin FC.
Lalchhuanmawia Fanai was sent off for Pune Authentic Marcus Martin Jersey but Ranko Popovic's side defended resolutely to take all three points and hand Jamshedpur FC their first loss in the league.
It took FC Pune City 30 minutes to break through the Jamshedpur FC defence that had kept four consecutive clean sheets in the ISL. Danny Salazar Womens Jersey Mehtab Hossain's foul on Marcelinho gave Pune a chance to launch one into the opposition box where Adil Khan converted at the back post. Pune won the first header from Marcelinho's free-kick and Khan side-footed it home.
Steve Coppell's men reacted well after going a goal down. The home team immediately put Pune under an extended spell of pressure and in the 44th minute, they had the ball in the opposition net.Matheus Trindade's cross from the left was turned into a Pune goal by Izu Azuka, but the Nigerian was flagged offside before he could celebrate.
Two minutes into the second half, Pune had a great chance to double their lead. Emiliano Alfaro released Diego Carlos on the right who drilled in a low cross across the face of the goal. Both Marcelinho and Isaac were in the box but failed to turn the ball home.
Unable to break through the Pune defence, Steve Coppell brought on Kervens Belfort to replace Trindade in the 66th minute but it was Popovic's side that looked likely to pull one more ahead.
With just 10 minutes left on the clock, Pune's efforts to take all three points suffered a big blow after Lalchhuanmawia Fanai was given the marching orders for his foul on Bikash Jairu. The Pune left-back was already on a yellow card when he was adjudged to have caught Jairu with his flailing arm.
But even with a man down, the visitors held on to their lead to secure full points. NHL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Usa NHL Hockey Jerseys NFL Jerseys Cheap

Pep Guardiola's team stretched their lead at the top of the table to 11 points and became the first team to win 14 successive English top-flight games in a single season.City took the lead their vast superiority deserved when man-of-the-match David Silva hooked home from close range after confusion at a corner on 42 minutes, only for United to be handed a lifeline in first-half stoppage time when poor defending from Nicolas Otamendi and Fabian Delph allowed Marcus Rashford to steal in for a composed finish.

Otamendi made amends nine minutes after the break when Romelu Lukaku - who had a poor game - lashed at a clearance in the area and the City defender pounced on the rebound to score.Mourinho's post-match focus centred on an incident in the 79th minute, when Ander Herrera went down in the box under a challenge from Otamendi and was booked for diving.
"My first reaction is I feel sorry for Michael Oliver because he had a very good match but unfortunately he made an important mistake," Mourinho told BBC Match of the Day."The result was made with a big penalty not given. That would have been 2-2.
"Michael was unlucky because it was a clear penalty."Asked whether the title race was over, Mourinho replied: "Probably, yes. Manchester City are a very good team and they are protected by the luck, and the gods of football are behind them."
Before Sunday's game, Mourinho had suggested City's players go down too easily - something Guardiola dismissed, along with the Portuguese's assertion United should have had a penalty."Last season it was the same - we won here and it was the referee. Today as well," Guardiola said.
"Yesterday he spoke about the referee. We are an honest team. We had 65% ball possession, which means we wanted to play. We came here and did that."It's not true that my players go down easily. That is not an argument I believe."
Sunday's result ended United's 40-match unbeaten run at home - which stretched back to City's win here in September 2016.City, who have dropped only two points in their first 16 league games, had opportunities to extend their Henrik Lundqvist Authentic Jersey lead but it was keeper Ederson who made the decisive late intervention with a miraculous double late save from the luckless Lukaku and substitute Juan Mata.
It is a brave call to declare the title race over in early December - but the statistics and evidence are piling up to suggest the chase is on for second place behind City.City will effectively have to lose four games while all of their rivals need to keep winning, tough to see with Guardiola's team having won every league match since Everton took a point at Etihad Stadium in the second game of the season.
"We are still in December. If we have 11 points when we play the second derby in April then maybe I will tell you that we have the title," said Adam Thielen Jersey Guardiola, who was full of praise for his side's performance."We won at Old Trafford again, that is why I am the most pleased and of course for the three points," he added. "We played good, with a lot of courage. I'm so satisfied."

cb|GeSHi-mod / Pauper turned peacock couldn't deny his roots
« on: December 12, 2017, 07:17:57 AM »
As a nation we are indebted to the RTé crime correspondent for speaking truth to power last Thursday. In a stirring echo of the fabled days when TV journalist Brendan O'Brien faced down Martin 'The General' Cahill, Paul Reynolds also dared to challenge another supremo of the Dublin streets.

Conor McGregor, for it was he, declared his love for the BMW i8 Coupe that awaited him as he walked out of Blanchardstown District Court, having been fined €400 for speeding. And why wouldn't he, given that he'd dropped well over a hundred grand to acquire it - batwing doors and all. And to be fair, it is indeed a splendid looking jammer.
Anyway, surrounded by reporters and photographers, Nicklas Grossmann Jersey the MMA superstar headed straight for his batmobile. "What a motor," he declared, with a maternal pride that was almost touching, "look at that motor."
And it was at this moment that Reynolds Authentic Merril Hoge Jersey earned his slice of the licence fee. "It's only a 1.5, Conor," retorted our dauntless tribune of the fourth estate. "But it's a rocket ship," replied McGregor, as he stooped to enter the cockpit.
Ah, but the damage was done. Not for the first time did a gap between surface and substance emerge in our hero's story. Not for the first did there appear to be an inconvenient glitch between boast and fact, between bonnet and engine.
No matter. At least on the important issue of sartorial projection, man and clothes were at one. Oh, he wears a tailored suit well. But obviously the dandy's persona we normally see Womens Ryan Miller Jersey is a performance, an affectation, a pauper-turned-peacock display, lest we forget how far he's come from his roots.
But it can be hard to shake off those roots. A defendant who wears tracksuits every day usually turns up in court wearing a suit. This time the man who can wear Savile Row every day turned up in a tracksuit. And white socks and white runners. You can take the boy out of Crumlin . . . It may not occur to him, but it's the bling that continues to remind us of his background.
It's a matter of class, in more ways than one. He is infinitely richer than any Irish international rugby player, for example, but if one of those privately-schooled pros were to make that sort of money, it would be discreetly deployed - and definitely not for public consumption.
They would enjoy the pleasure of a custom-made suit too. But they would be unlikely to have "F*** You" embroidered in the pinstripes, as he had last summer when hyping the Floyd Mayweather showdown.
It was this extravaganza in August that made McGregor wealthy enough for ten lifetimes. "I have to ask the question," Judge Miriam Walsh said to him on Thursday, "how much do you earn? And don't tell me you earn 110 million in one day." "Well, 140," came the reply, to laughter all round. cb|Emailogin / Tom Savage concussion makes clear that NFL's
« on: December 12, 2017, 04:32:55 AM »
The NFL's concussion protocol cannot possibly be considered adequate if it allowed Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage back into Sunday's 26-16 loss to the San Brandon Thompson Authentic Jersey Francisco 49ers. The policy has been improved and expanded dramatically in recent years, most recently to include discipline for failure to comply, but clearly it remains lacking in a fundamental way.

The image will be seared in our minds for some time. We all saw Savage's helmet slam off the NRG Stadium turf in Houston. He rolled over, his arms bracketed in an apparent display of what's known as the "fencing response." His hands twitched as though he were seizing.

Referee John Hussey immediately recognized Savage's distress. According to Texans coach Bill O'Brien, the team's medical staff administered a concussion test when the quarterback reached the sideline. And then, for reasons that will and should be under discussion in the NFL office at this very moment, Savage was cleared and returned to the game for one series. Only when further testing revealed a concussion were the Texans forced to declare Savage out.
Aside from its potential impact on Savage's long-term health, here's the biggest problem with that apparent order of events. If it happened that way, and our current evidence suggests that it did, then the Texans Laquon Treadwell Youth jersey didn't violate the NFL concussion policy as I understand it.
It's possible for concussion symptoms to be delayed, and we have several examples in recent years of players passing the test at one moment and then failing it later, including in Week 10 with Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
That's the first question the NFL must face as it reviews this policy in the coming weeks and months. Is the test too lenient if Brissett, Savage and others passed it moments after suffering the head trauma that ultimately caused a concussion? Should there be a mandatory waiting period after a hit to the head, one that would guard against the onset of belated symptoms?
People watching the game on TV often have a better view of what happened during a play than medical officials on either sideline. That's why the NFL has installed two certified athletic trainers in a booth above the field, each with a replay machine and a dedicated radio connection to the sidelines. There is also video equipment on the sideline for team doctors and unaffiliated neurological consultants (UNC) to review the mechanism of the injury.
So how could Savage possibly have been sent back into the game when the replay showed obvious concussion symptoms? Jordan Phillips Jersey While the policy provides the equipment, it does not require it to be used during the initial test. Instead, the policy states: "The sideline Jake Bischoff Womens Jersey medical staff will be able to review the game film on the sidelines to obtain information on particular plays involving possible injury." cb|Emailogin / Saints' Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram making NFL history
« on: December 12, 2017, 02:37:32 AM »
For one thing, Ingram said he had never heard it before. More importantly, with that nickname, the New Orleans Saints' veteran running back doesn't feel like he's getting stuck with the boring power-runner label alongside electrifying breakout rookie Alvin Kamara.

"See, 'Boom' is all of it. It's explosive, it's fast, it's powerful. So I don't mind boom," Ingram said. "It's like, 'BOOM!'"

When he puts it that way, it's hard to argue. The Saints (9-3) have exploded back into playoff contention this season behind their prolific backfield pairing, which is on pace to make NFL history as they head into Thursday night's NFC South showdown with the rival Atlanta Falcons (7-5).
Ingram, who is expected to play Thursday after dealing with a toe injury, is on pace for 1,569 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns Robert Bortuzzo Jersey this season. If he's unable to play, Kamara should be able to pick up the slack, given that he is on pace for even more yards from scrimmage (1,627) and more touchdowns (15).
No duo has ever come close to those numbers. The only two running backs to reach 1,400 scrimmage yards each while in the same backfield were the Cleveland Browns' Earnest Byner (1,462) and Kevin Mack (1,401) in 1985, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
The only duo in the past 31 years to surpass 1,300 yards each was the Jacksonville Jaguars' Fred Taylor (1,388) and Maurice Jones-Drew (1,377) in 2006. The Saints' Reggie Gary Roberts Womens Jersey Bush (1,307) and Deuce McAllister (1,255) came close that season while helping lead New Orleans to the NFC Championship Game.
"We're trying to be the best ever. We've been telling you that," said Ingram, who said he and Kamara feed off each other. "We go hand in hand. If I'm punishing 'em, hitting it Brayden Point Authentic Jersey downhill, hitting 'em in the mouth, and he comes in and he goes around the edge and he's breaking tackles and Womens Will Clark Jersey making people miss, scoring touchdowns, man, we both benefit."
"It goes both ways, I think," Kamara added when they did their postgame interview together after Sunday's 31-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers, something that has become a weekly routine for the NFL's most devastating 1-2 punch.
The way these two have embraced their partnership is one of the best things about it.Ingram joked that he had to "get my best Alvin Kamara on" with his 72-yard run against the Panthers, which included making safety Mike Adams miss him three times with two nasty cutbacks and a stiff-arm.
"I'm trying to go in ‘Matrix mode,'" Ingram added, referring to how Kamara described his ability to make defenders miss.Meanwhile, Kamara said he was on the sideline, cheering Ingram on every step of the way."Man, I'm hyped," Kamara said. "I'm running down, I was almost about to run on the field.",106710

cb|Emailogin / GAA has lost in pursuit of Super Eights and Taylor Swift
« on: December 11, 2017, 10:36:58 AM »
It was in the summer of 2000 that a gangly 19-year-old was handed a baggy white jersey and joined what was the best team his county produced this side of the war.

Ronan Sweeney and Kildare won a Leinster title that summer but, across his career, his sport changed and then changed a lot more. It meant Sweeney spent his adulthood with a shoulder to a wheel that would and could never budge. Now 37, for a long time it’s only his club that's given deserved openings at provincial level and, on Sunday, Moorefield provide him with what’s likely his last chance.
John Heslin has much road to travel before that reflex of peering back at what was and what might’ve been. Just 25, he's a behemoth and a direct and ruthless joy to watch, ticking many superstar boxes. But crucially there are a couple of blanks as it's wrong place and wrong Authentic Logan Forsythe Jersey time, what with him being from Westmeath in an era when inter-county belongs to the chosen few. Unlike Sweeney he's only reaching his peak; like Sweeney for so long, and despite his All Star-level talent, already his club St Loman’s is the only place he can and will ever truly triumph.
We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring we will arrive where we started and know the Blake Wheeler Jersey place for the first time.
The likes of those two have already been deprived of much to the point this weekend is a sanctuary from the plutocracy. For the masses getting dirty by shoveling coal into the association’s whistling engine, that’s also the case. However there’s a problem.
Depending on who you are, your club is your only chance. But because of who you are, that only chance is an afterthought in a scheme for the grand. This ought to be the most wonderful time of the year – the epitome of our national games which the majority can relate to and revel in. You just wished those that decided on the direction of the GAA realised, even if that isn’t good for business.
There's a sentiment that makes up many a marketing campaign and tells us the GAA is really about the parish and revolves around the smallest building blocks. That’s good rhetoric, but like so much else in the seedy realm of sales it has never been introduced to the reality. Back in November, for instance, when the club game was quietly blooming in the Luke Schenn Jersey cold and the dark, much news was about Colm Cooper.
It was down to his testimonial that was estimated to have brought in €250,000 and of course that deserved inquisition and serious scrutiny. Yet so many focused on it for the wrong reasons, lambasting the Kerry man’s greed when he was no more than a microcosm of his sport. He wasn’t going against the GAA ethos; instead he was representing the new millennial version of that ethos.
It’s a sport of elitism on top of elitism. Within inter-county teams, there are guys like Gooch profiting, and then the rest.Within the highest level of the game there are Dublin and a couple of others, and then the rest.Within the adult game there is the minority at inter-county, holding up the rest.
