General SMF discussion / Hacking - I think I have been hacked
« on: October 05, 2017, 10:29:43 AM »
First of all, keep calm. When the forum has been hacked, there are a few simple steps for the administrator to do. Most infections can be eliminated in just a few minutes.
If you can do it quickly and easily, Shut down your website temporarily to stop any bad things happening while you are fixing the problem. See instructions below for tips on how to do this. If you cannot shut down your site, skip this step and move on to getting rid of the problem.
You do not know yet if any of them have been stolen. That includes all SMF admins, ftp accounts, telnet/ssh users, hosting control panel, database, and even email. If you cannot log into your SMF admin account, see below for how to fix the problem. If you do not know how to change your database password or any other passwords associated with your hosting account, get help from your host.
Backup your database and your files (even the infected ones) and store it in a safe place.
This is important. You need to have a copy of your database in case something goes wrong. You need a backup of your attachment directory, since you cannot get those files back if you accidentally delete them. If you have any other custom file directoris, such as gallery or document storage, you must protect them too. You need to have copies of all the SMF files, so that you or someone else can figure out how you were hacked in the first place. Copy the backup files to a safe place. If you are using FTP to copy the backup files, make sure that you use binary mode.
Tell your host that you have been hacked.
Let them know about the problem. Ask them to check log files to find out where the attack may have come from. Find out what they recommend to eliminate the infection. Ask them if the malware has left any shell processes running.

Chit Chat / Do You Use Google+ ?
« on: October 03, 2017, 01:55:44 PM »
I've come to like Google+. I can't really put my finger on it, but it has a very different atmosphere to Facebook's. Of course, they share pretty much the same type of circulating content, yet still there is a very notable difference - at least to me. I joined there initially to promote my blog, but now I use it for leisure as well, although, admittedly still not as much as FB and the other more "mainstream" sites.

Do any of our members here use Google+ as well? Would you agree with me that it has a unique atmosphere? If so, hopefully you can explain it better than I have.  Anyway, I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it out yet, especially ones who are already using Blogger, Adsense, and/or Gmail already since you don't even have to sign up anymore.

Chit Chat / Tracking down the ENG ERR on my M821
« on: October 03, 2017, 01:54:55 PM »
I swapped in and out replacement parts looking to narrow it down...the {ENG ERR} fault specifically names 14 systems and I had swapped out all but the throttle control unit...so there it is I thought...doubting the assembly is broken because it works fine and especially because I have never tampered with it; I looked towards the clip...I could see the wires were clearly being stressed from the clutch cable underneath it...I fiddle with them and the error went away...I put a zip tie around the wires leading out of the frame so anytime the error would pop up I could just jostle the wires and be on my way...I got about 30 miles before it happened again and no amount of tugging would clear it...and in addition; I got stuck in a rider mode...its saying to "CLOSE GAS"....engine on or not...with the ENG ERR active or cleared it says CLOSE GAS...
Thanks

Chit Chat / Carl Kruse Profile on Boomeon
« on: October 03, 2017, 01:51:50 PM »
Boomeon will be the head Carl Kruse Boomeon online group for Baby Boomers to examine far-extending themes from retirement to wellbeing/health to search. Join Carl Kruse from the examination over yonder. Join Carl Kruse over at Boomeon The around 75 million Americans who from the period of increased birth rates era are driving the nation through just one more clearing societal change. Around 3 million people born after WW2 will hit retirement age annually for around the subsequent 20, and will influence how parental figures and policymakers shape a person's services framework for quite a long time to come.

This is actually the most intense constrain working in our wellbeing framework currently, this generational change says Jeff Goldsmith, president of Health Futures Inc. Charlottesville, Va. Like this, the growth from the level of senior native boomers continues to be incremental, and its particular influence on medicinal services has been dominated by government change and spending fights. Individuals aren't giving careful consideration.

Chit Chat / What??? She has a "THAT child"?
« on: October 03, 2017, 01:50:55 PM »
Not only does she have a "THAT child" (actually more than one), she then proceeded to talk quite a bit about her son....my niece's husband.
I was floored -- I know him as an adult, a humorous man, one who is highly intelligent, a good husband and father, and someone who was offered an excellent teaching position even before he graduated from college. Immediately I started having hope for my "THAT child" -- and fighting tears as I realized there are more parents than I realized who deal with the same thing. (By the way, Rachael shared how he was terrified when he and my niece found out they were expecting their first child -- apologizing to his wife and mother in case their baby would be "like him.")

Chit Chat / Something new on Road America
« on: September 29, 2017, 10:24:26 AM »
CART announced earlier this year that it was dropping Road America from its 2003 schedule in the wake of a dispute over sanctioning fees and a series of suits and countersuits. But while the leaders of CART and Road America traded brickbats, Mario Andretti took it upon himself to resolve the situation and keep Champ Cars racing at the historic Wisconsin road course.
By many accounts, he’s about 99 percent of the way there, having reached abasic agreement by both sides to restructure the financial picture, and now needing only the accountants’ stamp of approval to seal the deal.
“Each side has had to give a little, but both parties want it to happen,” Mario said at Long Beach, “and there’s no reason it shouldn’t happen, now.”

Chit Chat / Best way to grant a level
« on: September 29, 2017, 10:21:18 AM »
Hello, so i'm about to do recruit a friend and i want to be able to grant my monk to 80 as soon as MoP releases but i'm just confused on the best way to do this.
I was going to level two level 80s then grant but i heard you could also use one level 80 and two level 40s.
If this is true, what ones should i level first the level 80 or level 40. Also what order should i recruit on, Do i use the level 40s first or the 80?

Chit Chat / What has World Of Warcraft taught you?
« on: September 29, 2017, 10:17:22 AM »
perhaps you'd never played a videogame before WoW, and it taught you how... and it got you into more RPGs, FPSs, console games... stuff you'd have never tried had it not been for Warcraft?
Or even more deeper, maybe you didn't have many friends before it, and it taught you how to socialize, interact with people...
Maybe it even taught you how to lead a team of comrades, and sorting out disputes?
Problem solving?
Knowledge of armor and weaponry? (I had no idea what Spaulders were before WoW...)
Maybe you met your wife/husband through the game, and it taught you to love (d'awww.)
Or maybe you just had no idea what an internet was, and now you program addons (what a success story that'd be.)

« on: September 29, 2017, 10:16:19 AM »
Since the start of the Racing Channel on Sky the voice of John Hickman at Bath, Chepstow, Lingfield has been a common thing.
But I have't heard him at all this year on ATR or RUK instead you get Lee Mackenzie.
Can anyone tell me if John Hickman has retired or died.
I would be most greatful.

Chit Chat / When I first started shooting I got so so so so sick
« on: September 27, 2017, 02:09:22 PM »
An experienced user knows that a dirty hit can be treated with a clean hit of heroin [or morphine IM], for treating shock [uncontrollable shaking] and headache [H is the best painkiller and antishock treatment for use of the correct medical terminology]. Also, these two symptoms increase the bodies tolerance to opiates, because of how opiates are used by the body when in shock or experiencing pain including gastro pain.
I had a dirty hit a few nights ago, from a small amount of H mixed with water left in a syringe for 2 days. Even though I squirted it back in a spoon and boiled it well over a flame to try and sterilize it and I used a new fit. After I hit it up, 10 minutes later shock set in.

Chit Chat / What type of schedule you follow, modeling for an entireweek?
« on: September 27, 2017, 02:08:39 PM »
Teaching your age-appropriate child to keep his own log is similar to teaching him how to do his chores. Start by modeling for a few days to a week. Depending on what type of schedule you follow, modeling for an entire week may be necessary for your child to see how unique days are handled. Then, once they understand the basic idea, sit beside them as they fill in their log each day. There, you’re half done!
Before you know it, he’ll be comfortable doing it on his own and you… well, you will find yourself with the delightful gift of free time.

While it is always dangerous to count your chickens before they’re hatched (see our post on the DJIA’s attempt to break 1,000 that spanned multiple decades), if one, two, or all of the stocks listed above do manage to break the ,000 level, they will join a very exclusive club. As shown in the table below, there are currently just four stocks listed on US exchanges trading above ,000/share with market caps of more than 0 mln that trade more than 250 shares per day. Those four stocks are Berkshire Hathaway (BRK/a), Seaboard (SEB), NVR, and Priceline (PCLN). What distinguishes AMZN and GOOGL from the others, though, is their liquidity. With average daily volumes of more than 1.5 million shares per day, the average daily dollar volume of these two stocks is well in excess of any other stock in the group.

Chit Chat / S&P 1500 Most Heavily Shorted Stocks
« on: September 27, 2017, 02:07:30 PM »
Short interest figures for the middle of May were released after the close on Wednesday, and below we wanted to provide our updated list of the most heavily shorted stocks in the S&P 1500. The table below lists the 20 stocks in the S&P 1500 that have more than one-third of their free-floating shares sold short as of the middle of May. For each stock, we have also included its performance so far in the month of May. First, in terms of performance, the most heavily shorted stocks are underperforming the broader market. On an average basis, things don’t look that bad as the 20 stocks listed are up 0.63% compared to a gain of 1.11% for the S&P 1500. This average, however, is being skewed by some big gains in stocks like World Acceptance (WRLD), which is up over 50%, and Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI), which is up 40%. On a median basis, these 20 stocks are actually down more than 5%. Breadth among the most heavily shorted stocks further highlights the underlying weakness as just eight of the twenty names are positive for the month of May.
